5/6 and 7/8 Winter Clinics

Important Information Regarding 2020/21 5/6 and 7/8 Winter Clinics

The Winter Clinics for our younger players are an integral part of Stamford American Little League.  Our clinics kick-off our Spring Tee Ball, Single-A and Double-A Seasons by teaching the fundamentals of baseball to our budding players and by introducing our Little League's many offerings to our newest families.

After much thought and consideration, the SALL Board of Directors has determined the 5/6 and 7/8 Winter Clinics will not be held indoors this year due to the ongoing pandemic.  The recently enacted Phase 2.1 Regulations by the State of Connecticut and the City of Stamford limit indoor gatherings to 25 attendees makes these clinics not feasible due to the number of players in attendance, the high coach-to-player ratio required for this age group and since our families routinely stay with their young players in the gym during the sessions.   Phase 2.1 also requires the players to wear masks throughout the indoor session which will likely be difficult for our youngest players when playing.

We remain committed to holding similar clinics in an outdoor setting in late March / Early April, before the Spring Season begins for our younger players in mid-April.  We will be in touch with more details via email and on this webpage as soon as we have more information.

Be safe, and we can't wait to see our younger players in March.  In the interim, please sign-up for the free wait list using the links on the Winter Clinic Registration Page so we can track interest in the program to assist in the planning process.
